Can I share personal information about my customers with third parties in Missouri? What are the requirements?

According to the Privacy of Financial Information rule in Missouri, you may share personal information about your customers with third parties only if you provide clear and conspicuous notice to the customer and give them the opportunity to opt-out of the disclosure. The notice must be reasonably understandable and designed to call attention to the nature and significance of the information in the notice. The notice must also include a clear and conspicuous opt-out notice that allows the customer to prevent the disclosure of their information to nonaffiliated third parties. Additionally, you may only disclose nonpublic personal information to nonaffiliated third parties as permitted by the rule. ^[1.1]
