Can I offer contests that involve website promotions in Arizona? What are the requirements?
Based on the documents provided, it is possible to offer website promotions in Arizona as long as they comply with the regulations set forth in AZAC Title 19, Chapter 4, Article 2, Section 19. Promotions and/or bonuses described as free shall clearly disclose material facts, terms, and conditions. Promotions and/or bonuses shall not restrict the patron from withdrawing their own funds, or withdrawing winnings from wagers placed using their own funds. Responsible parties shall make the promotion or bonus rules available to eligible patrons [2.1].
Each promotion shall have a Promotion Profile that meets the requirements set forth in AZAC Title 19, Chapter 3, Article 10, Section 2. The Promotion Profile shall contain the promotion name, promotion playstyle, category, targeted game, games or Lottery beneficiaries involved in the promotion, promotion description, promotion selection criteria, if applicable, prize type and structure, including the estimated number and size of monetary prizes, free tickets, coupons, certificates, discounts, and merchandise prizes available, if applicable, retail sales price, if applicable, promotion date range (beginning and ending promotion dates), time range, if applicable, day or days of the week, if applicable, special feature, if any, and prize draw eligibility requirements, including filing period for eligibility in a winners drawing, if applicable. The Commission shall approve the Promotion Profile prior to the promotion being introduced to the public for participation [2.1].
If there are any disputes concerning a Promotion Game or a Promotion Prize, they are subject to the requirements of R19-3-410 [3.2]. Eligibility to win a prize is based on compliance with the designated promotion playstyle [3.3].
